Heat.gov to be showcased as a side event at COP27
On Thursday, November 17, at COP27, the National Integrated Heat Health Information System's (NIHHIS) new heat and health portal, Heat.gov, will be displayed as a side event at the US Center. Launched in July 2022, Heat.gov is a website that provides the American public and decision-makers with clear, timely and science-based information to understand and reduce the health risks of extreme heat. Heat.gov offers maps, data, and information that enables informed decisions by communities on a daily basis and allows planning for weeks and months ahead. People visiting the US Center will be able to view the website and learn more about what the US government is doing to address heat and health.
