  Video features three specific health issues: 1. A rare but deadly fungal disease (cryptococcus cadii) once known only in tropical climates, that is infecting people in the Pacific Northwest. 2. Earlier flowering of some trees lengthens the time that people with allergies are exposed to tree allergens. 3. Spread of infectious vector-borne diseases such as West Nile and Lyme disease. Comments from expert scientist: This is a general audience video explaining how climate change caused by human acitivities is not some abstract concept, or something that may happen in the future, but is already affecting us in different ways. The video is very careful not to overstate the examples shown. The video also does a good job of showing what is being done to combat climate change in cities like Chicago.
