Dear Prof. Sobel, I have cruised in SE Alaska in a sailboat over the past several years. In 2013, we experienced a wonderful summer which I assumed was a result of a change in the North Pacific temperatures. The 2008, 2010 and 2012 were cold and wet by comparison.
