Interesting that points are distributed roughly 1/3rd pink, 1/3rd blue and 1/3rd white. Also interesting that there are no points that were both positive wind anomalies and met La Nina threshold (lower right blue). So from this limited data if you saw a positive wind anomaly in March then you wouldn't meet La Nina threshold the following winter. Does the data <1980 show the same? Great articles.
