There's strong meteorological evidence of El Nino conditions. I live in Ecuador and I recall that in 1997 saw similar satellite images, particularly similar to the above Tropical Pacific SST figure. Local authorities have announced contingency actions to prevent harm that may be done by weather conditions like floods. The Ecuadorian people need to be informed and prepared. Thank you for sharing.
