This year's hurricane season in the Pacific seems unusual (anecdotal observation of mine). For instance, there are three (3) hurricanes of category four (4) in the Pacific basin. Since the trade winds are somewhere between 1997's and 1982's El Ninos, what were the Pacific hurricane seasons like for those respective years and how do they compare to this year's?
