Impact on Southern California

Great article! I was born and raised in So. Cal (San Diego specifically) and could be a historian on weather conditions here as I dislike heat and love the rain. For the last 2 years San Diego has not experienced our typical May gray and June gloom that I look forward to every year. In May of 2014 we experienced Santa Ana's and fires across the county (Santa Ana's occur in Sept./Oct./November and we can experience very warm Decembers.
So. Cal. has not had a cool down for almost 2 years (in terms of temp. in the 50's) and record breaking heat.
I have experienced the El Nino rains and am addicted to reading articles on the "PROMISE" of rain and cold weather. If you were to give odds on the El Nino bringing heavy rains to Southern California, what would they be? 1 to 1, 5 to 1, etc.
We need the rain and this heat has to go.
Thank you.
