It seems a high pressure system (for the past several days) is over the Pacific Ocean off the California coast. For me it seems to equates to hot and dry for SOCAL. How does / will the El NINO event influence high pressure systems ? Could there be more or less this year? For the Pacific region of the CONUS is it correct to declare a high pressure system of the USA coast over the Pacific Ocean minimizes the amount of moisture entering the USA? Or could it slide south and propel the Pineapple express to the US?
