So, in simply word, the Trade-Winds is a result of the strong warming above the landmass over Tropics, since the water surround is cooler, this stabilize the atmophere, which means less clouds and more solar heating also over the landmass (or i get something wrong here) which strengthen later the ITC. So if water becomes warmer, contrast is less, less solar heating, weaker ITC. Ahh, okay there is a "Phase-looking" which means the feedbacks are also time-limited or to say the first trigger how a time window, in which it could cause a feedback-loop. Well, that make it more clear.
