Can someone explain how core ice samples prove anything about global warming? There are layers or higher concentrations of CO2, but does that tell us what the temperature was then? And if let’s say 10,000 years ago there was a warm period, wouldn’t the way the ice formed (probably more slowly) change the concentration of the CO2?
