Name for the little brother/sister in Atlantic?

I realize it is helpful, for the sake of description, to use the El Niño/La Niña and “little sibling” hermanito/hermanita for describing this Atlantic phenomenon, because it refers to the familiar Pacific phenomenon. But in the spirit of honoring the primary area(s) being influenced by extremes of the oscillation (which El Nino did for coastal Peru), I wonder if a West African word (or set of words) could be used for this phenomenon in the Atlantic? This presupposes that coastal West Africans are impacted by the SST, wind or other symptoms described here. Do they already have a word for the extremes of the oscillation? Or is it too subtle, continuous or inconsistent to be recognized without analyzing synoptic anomaly maps? Just a few casual questions that came to mind. Thanks for an interesting post!
