It's possible that something interesting might come out of such an analysis, although we must acknowledge that it may be hard to make sense of the divergent weather and climate trajectories that arise from chaos alone. Still, I agree that it may be interesting to see what sort of perturbations resulted in the better forecast and also to see how quickly the better forecasts diverged from the poorer forecasts (days? weeks?).
