I love paleo-anthropology! At any given time, I have a least a half dozen ideas for different departments or blogs for Climate.gov, and on my short list would be a blog devoted to paleoclimate-anthropology. It would cover things like you mentioned--how ancient people adapted to their climate and landscape--as well as climate changes that proved to be beyond their ability to adapt, and which therefore led to collapse.
